With encouragement and support from Visit Eau Claire and benefiting greatly from the independent spirit of those who call the community home, this northern Wisconsin university city is making a name for itself as a creative hub with a hip and homegrown music and art scene and a robust entrepreneurial culture.     The City of Eau Claire sure is ‘trailblazing’ with the addition of the Half Moon Lake Boardwalk Trail! 🌿🏞️ This new path connects Carson Park to Rod & Gun Park with a seamless blend of concrete pathways and raised boardwalk trails! Get ready to immerse yourself in nature's beauty as you stroll along the 1,800-foot concrete trail, designed for accessibility and adventure. With handrails in areas for safety and elevated boardwalks featuring bumpers to keep you on track, this trail offers a perfect opportunity to explore the serene Half Moon Lake and Braun’s Bay wetland area.

    At Visit Eau Claire, we take immense pride in our team's dedication to excellence and collaboration. Today, we're thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of our own, Lucas Connolly, for his outstanding contributions to the success of the 2024 NCTTA Championships held in Eau Claire just over a week ago. 🏓👏 Willy Leparulo, President of the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association (NCTTA), recently shared heartfelt words of appreciation for Lucas's unwavering support throughout the year. As someone with years of experience with Convention and Visitors Bureaus, Willy highlighted Lucas's exceptional qualities, describing him as "one of a kind." As we reflect on the success of the tournament, we extend our congratulations to Lucas for this well-deserved recognition. 🎉

    We're thrilled to share that Luke Alexopoulos, Senior Public Relations Manager at Visit Eau Claire, has been named one of Destinations International's 2024 30 Under 30 recipients! 🌟 With a background in communication and journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Luke began his journey in the tourism industry as an intern at Visit Eau Claire and swiftly advanced to his current role. As Senior Public Relations Manager, Luke spearheads influencer and business partnerships, manages press opportunities, and coordinates all PR activities. Luke has organized major events like TBEX, hosted numerous media trips, and significantly enhanced Visit Eau Claire's presence in the travel industry through targeted PR efforts. Interim Executive Director Kenzi Havlicek expressed, "Luke Alexopoulos's selection as one of Destinations International's 30 Under 30 Class of 2024 is a testament to his dedication and exceptional contributions to the tourism industry. Luke has incredible skills and a friendly demeanor that place the Eau Claire Area on the map through his remarkable public relations efforts.
