I was here for the Ice Age Trail conference. It was mid April and cold outside. I arrived in the evening and check in was a breeze. For some reason when I made the reservation last month my room choices were limited, and although I was solo on this trip, I had a kids boathouse bunk room. Could have slept 7 with the pullout couch. I had a city view on the 3rd floor. The CO detector was chirping and had to be swapped out (it was at the end of its life cycle). Deep tub was nice to soak in after a chilly wet hike. Clean and quiet. Microwave, coffee, fridge, and room safe.
The lakefront is beautiful. Chairs and fire rings out there.
The lobby has a bar and grill, restaurant, a boutique, and a coffee/ice cream shop. Spa on the first floor. I didn't use any of that.
The conference space is decent. Fairly standard.
The water park was closed, and no other indoor pool. Decent sized gym.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David P.Mishawaka, IN41204379May 16, 2023
A lovely resort in the quaintest little town. OMG, the town is as adorable as the hotel is good. The room was nice with good amenities. Refrigerator included a freezer section in it, perfect for freezer packs to go along with all the cheese you can get around here.
Bed was comfy, pillows were too soft for my taste. Tub edge / shower was higher than my knees, difficult to get in. It was a very interesting mix of old & new. Desk provided was good for working. Microwave & coffee maker were in room.
Wi-Fi was good in the room. Lobby was nice, restaurant in lobby was never open for breakfast though, but there was a convenience store that opened early. Parking lot was under repair at the time making things inconvenient coming and going. But the place looked amazing from the outside.
I would stay there again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Debbie C.Orfordville, WI061Mar 4, 2024
This place has really gone downhill. The first time we were there was almost 10 years ago with our grandson and we had a great time. To celebrate his 18th birthday, we decided to go back there, but this time was a major disappointment. They have not updated or changed anything in 10 years. The only exception was the slides which were shutdown for construction. The slides were about the only think that my grandson was looking forward to. What they have changed majorly are their rates, which have more than doubled. You would think they would put some of that into updating the rooms, but no. The halls were loud outside our room with kids running and screaming and it sounded like there were elephants above us. We will never go there again. I cannot recommend anything about it unless you have little ones and tons of money.

Hi Debbie C:
Thank you for staying with us. As we are continually working to improve our resort, you may be pleased to know the waterpark's slide tower replacement has been completed and our dueling water slides are now open! Though our rates have increased over the past decade, I apologize you did not enjoy your visit; please feel free to reach out to me if you would care to talk further.
Thank you,
Bill Rees

While the room was nice and clean. Though they are slightly outdated. I did notice a draft coming from the sliding door which, to be fair, is expected. The water park was nice maybe a little outdated but good for the location. A lot of the inner tubes were flat or lost air fast. The food in the water park was ok, the kids had corn dogs and tots, adults had mini tacos and pizza and it was all enjoyed, but nothing amazing. The arcade was over priced and easily skippable. Did not do mini golf. Ate at the breakfast buffet (2 adults, two older kids and 2 toddlers) - it was not worth the cost. The orange juice was sour, eggs tasted like they were from a box, waffles were crispy and hard to chew , and bacon crumbled apart . For $20 per adult and $10 per kid it's not worth it, dennys would have been better.

We just stayed at Blue Harbor for the Water park with the grand kids, Dont believe the prices on the board! A can of beer says $5 and a tap beer says $6, in reality they charge me $9 for a tap beer, when asked the lady just said smugly "prices went up" and walked away, also lunch for 5 was $98! Room with a loft for the kids was OK at best but the noise from surrounding rooms and the roof units was loud all night, Think twice before you go for a water weekend!!
I giving 1 star because of the total cost!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Caitlin H.Chicago, IL113288Aug 13, 2023
We stayed in the villas last month and had the best time! The staff were all sweet, the food was great, and the water park was so much fun. Will definitely be back next summer!

I'm not certain why a "resort" would book a convention with representatives, spouses, and various staff from all 72 counties in Wisconsin, and not open their restaurant. Doesn't make sense. And the "Spa" is only open certain days. Very disappointing. I certainly wouldn't recommend.
It is 12:30 pm, and there is literally no place to get food or a drink in this resort. It really is inconvenient for any sort of gathering. Sad.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brittany D.Oak Creek, WI1984341Nov 26, 2022
For family fun I think we definitely found a good spot. The water park is clean and lots of fun! A lot of different things to do; water basketball- water Lilly pads- several water slides- a small lazy River and a little area for younger kids. The room we stayed in was kid friendly and the "kids room" was shaped like an aquarium. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because of how crowded it was, how loud it is at night time (but to be expected with how large this place is) and the restaurant "the beacon" was mediocre at best. Worth a trip out here for sure.

cafe staff could care less about their job. She was old so I guess that made sense. It was enough to bring the otherwise great experience down a peg
